IMPROVING LONG & SHORT TERM OUTCOMES

About Us

VentureMed develops and markets innovative endovascular devices that address unmet needs in the treatment of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and stenoses of AV fistulas & grafts.

In 2012, practicing vascular surgeon, John P. Pigott, MD, FACS realized there was an unmet need in vessel preparation for the treatment of peripheral artery disease (PAD). With support from Promedica Innovations, Dr. Pigott founded the VentureMed Group to design, develop, and market cost-effective interventional devices to improve patient outcomes and reduce the overall cost of care for the provider and the procedure.

The FLEX Vessel Prep™ System was designed by Dr. Pigott to safely and  predictably modify plaque by creating controlled, micro-incisions of any length in complex  lesions of varying morphology, providing acute luminal gain & improved vessel compliance, and enabling consistent, superior clinical revascularization outcomes in PAD.

THE FLEX VESSEL PREP™ SYSTEM

The Flex Vessel Prep System is a non-balloon, catheter-based device designed to deliver controlled, predictable vessel preparation in stenotic and lesion sites. It uses precise surgical blades to make continuous, circumferential micro-incisions in plaque, releasing circumferential tension and improving vessel compliance to facilitate lumen expansion with potentially less trauma. A self-sizing treatment element is dynamically engaged via retrograde pullback, enabling uniform lesion treatment along long or complex vascular segments
