Ziptek is issued a USA method patent for its resorbable locking suture button technology

November 10, 2019 — Ziptek is issued a USA method patent for its resorbable locking suture button technology, which works like a zip tie. This brings Ziptek’s patent portfolio to 21 issued patents with two utility and two method patents surrounding the locking suture button technology. Ziptek also has two patents on its anchors and expects further in addition to a patent on the insertion device.

Ziptek Update: 1-Year Results of First 25 Rotator Cuff Patients Treated with ZipE®

October 30, 2019 — Ziptek is reporting on the first 25 patients whose rotator cuff was repaired with the ZipE® with over one year follow-up.

Opioid-dependent and Workers Compensation patients were excluded from the cohort.

The average percent of improvement was noted to be 97%. There were no major or minor adverse events or failures. All patients had return of full passive range of motion, and strength testing equaled or exceeded the opposite extremity.

Return to function has been found to be significantly earlier than surgeons’ experience with conventional devices over the last 24-years of experience.
