Scott Mattingly is a Talent Director at FloodGate Medical, where he partners with innovative MedTech companies to build the commercial teams that drive growth. Drawing on more than 20 years of leadership in the U.S. Army as an Aviation Officer, most of it within the special operations community, Scott brings a strategic, disciplined, and relationship-driven approach to executive search. His experience leading high-stakes missions around the world taught him that organizational success begins with putting the right people in the right roles, a philosophy he now applies to helping clients build exceptional teams.
Since joining FloodGate Medical, Scott has focused on supporting emerging and growth-stage companies across the neurology and neurotechnology landscape. He has developed a strong understanding of the challenges these organizations face as they transition from innovation to commercialization. By partnering with founders, investors, and commercial leaders, Scott helps identify the talent needed to accelerate growth. Through ongoing engagement with the market, Scott stays closely attuned to advances in neurotechnology, investment trends, go-to-market strategies, and the evolving leadership needs of high-growth MedTech companies.

Originally from Missouri, Scott played collegiate basketball in Georgia before beginning his military career. Today, he lives in Tampa with his wife and three children, where he continues his passion for developing people by coaching high school and AAU basketball while maintaining an active lifestyle centered on fitness.
