I wear three hats at FloodGate: Executive Assistant, Facilities Manager, and Mission Coordinator. I keep our leader and our office running smoothly, and I lead the work that connects FloodGate to our community, from monthly volunteer days and charitable giving to special initiatives with our nonprofit partners.
My job is to clear the path so our team can focus on serving clients and candidates well, and to make sure our mission reaches beyond our office walls. Depending on the day, I've been called the Chaos Coordinator, the Office Genie, and The Glue, and I'll happily answer to all three.
The path here
Where she spends her time
- Mission and community: monthly volunteer days, charitable giving through the FloodGate Foundation, and quarterly projects such as The Honor Foundation TREK Tour and the BRAVE Coalition Mile Matching Challenge.
- Systems that make life easier: turning messy processes into simple workflows, trackers, and forms so nothing falls through the cracks, often while nerding out with AI.
- Events and recognition: Rocks meetings, team building days, and the Dazzle Dog and BIG THANKS traditions, moments that bring the team together.
Tracy's path to FloodGate has been anything but a straight line. She's been a radio morning show co-host, an award-winning freelance writer, a Young Life volunteer, and a conference and camp speaker.
Life as a Navy wife took her family from coast to coast, and in every community where they planted roots, she jumped in with both feet: organizing block parties and community events, serving on military spouse committees, leading women's and girls' Bible studies, and tutoring and directing homeschool co-ops, all while home-educating her four kids. Those years taught her to build community quickly, juggle a lot at once, and keep her sense of humor. She joined FloodGate in August 2022, where it all comes together.
Two projects she's proud of
FloodGate's 25th anniversary Silver Celebration, a beautiful (and sparkly!) evening complete with a 10-foot timeline banner of the firm's history and a wall of fame honoring all 166+ clients who've trusted FloodGate over the years.
The Back to School Bash with OneTouch Direct, where the team hand-picked and filled 150 backpacks with school supplies for students in the community who needed them most, and Tracy delivered them in a fully loaded Suburban like a summer Santa.
Trained, and certified for it.

How Tracy sees the work
Business run as a ministry
I love that I get to work somewhere that truly believes in and lives out its core values: Every Person Matters, Christian Integrity Impacts, and Serving Is Winning. Running a business as a ministry isn't just a phrase here; it shows up in how we treat our team, our candidates, and our community. Getting to help build the moments that remind us why we do what we do keeps me motivated every single day.
Away from work
A proud Navy wife and Coast Guard mom, Tracy holds the military community close to her heart. When the family can steal away, you'll find them sailing somewhere beyond the blue; a bareboat catamaran trip exploring the Exumas is still one of her all-time favorite adventures.
