ASAHI INTECC USA Partners with Medikit to Distribute Super Sheath™ Introducer Sheath in the US

Irvine, CA, April 1, 2025 – ASAHI INTECC USA, Inc. is pleased to announce the newest addition to its product portfolio through a distribution partnership with Medikit of Super Sheath™ Introducer Sheath. This collaboration will enable ASAHI INTECC to expand its reach and provide more healthcare professionals with streamlined access to medical devices designed to improve patient outcomes.

The Beginning of the CTO PCI Era

ASAHI’s CTO PCI history begins in the early ’90s. Only a few stiff guidewires were available in the market. As the development concept for these wires was focused only on a high stiffness tip, other performance characteristics were overlooked and/or briefly considered. As a result, while the existing wires delivered high stiffness, they experienced problems with poor torquability and distal core deformation when the wire is advanced into calcification within the vessel.

Coronary Guidewire Training

Coronary guidewire training is a key piece of the continuing education (CE) pie. As clinical presentation of disease evolves and advances, interventional devices continue to evolve and advance as well. It is important to know how new guidewires and microcatheters can be most effective. Understanding these device features is the first step to selecting the right tool for the job. These small educational investments can have a major impact on success rates and increased procedure efficiency.
